Enchanting image of a tiny iridescent hummingbird approaching a red hibiscus. The flower's stigma heavy with frothy golden stamen beckons enticingly to the tiny creature.
These delightful and irrepressible birds never fail to enchant me as they dart about my garden like winged jewels, their wings whirring as they buzz past. I'm usually successful in tempting them to nest nearby by placing multiple feeders around my yard, but I have yet to achieve the holy grail of hummingbird success - getting them to eat from a handheld feeder - perhaps one day!
