Hilltop vista of Lake Lugano, Switzerland, flanked by stone villas and mountains in the distance. Lake Lugano is shared by Switzerland and Italy with the majority held by Switzerland. Lugano is located between Lakes Maggiore and Como. While many visitors may come for the shopping, my companions and I chose hiking, cruising the lake, and passing our afternoons gazing at the beautiful lake while enjoying a glass of Rose.
